Congratulations Coach Lewis

U.S. Lacrosse 2017 High School Assistant Coach of the year for the state of Georgia

Updated Sunday July 30, 2017 by Susan Segat.

It is with a great deal of pleasure that we announce that Lambert's own  Coach Rick Lewis has been named the U.S. Lacrosse 2017 High School Assistant Coach of the year for the state of Georgia. The award is voted on by all the High school coaches in the state of Georgia.

Since taken over as Defensive Coordinator in 2014, Coach Lewis’ defenses have performed consistently well and have seen steady improvement culminating in a Lambert record low of 3.52 Goals against per game in the 2016 State Championship season. Coach Lewis’ defense followed that up with another great season this year, only allowing 4.92 goals against per game, in a year in which he had to rebuild and replace his entire defense, while also continuing to develop defenders for future years. Without question, his ability to do this helped put us in a position to pursue another State Championship.

Please take a second to congratulate Coach Lewis on this very well deserved award and recognition.
